Om Yoga Show | Om the Ball

YES it's Yoga & YES it's on a Ball!

'Sun Power Yoga' has brought together two disciplines to bring you 'Om The Ball'.

We watched Rita Osborne as she gracefully demonstrated 'Om The Ball' on the Open Stage and I'm pretty sure you can feel your own core working just from sitting there watching! Don't worry though there is something for everyone from beginner to advanced, with lots of fun to be had along the way.

Awareness and control are needed to stay balanced as you move through a sequence of Yoga Asanas. You will learn how to work with your breath, whilst maintaining your balance and focus as your mind is calmed and your consciousness turned inwards.

You can train to teach 'Om The Ball' with 'Sun Power Yoga', please note that you are required to already hold a Yoga Teacher qualification to begin this course.

Rita Osborne as well as working with Sun Power Yoga is also the founder of Serene Moments offering a wide range of healing therapies.

Keeping the Balance

Bring balance into your life by bringing it into your yoga practice...

"Yoga is the study of balance and balance is the aim of all living creatures"

Rolf Gates…

Balances calm your mind and bring you into the present;
What's your favourite balance pose? Is it one of these;

Dancer/Natarajasana
Tree/Vrkasana
Eagle/Garudasana
Crow/Bakasana

Or something else?

The key to all balances is to to exist in the moment, focus your gaze softly on a point, feel grounded - rooted to the floor, centered, keep focusing on your point and your breath as you gently release one foot moving into your selected balance. As you arrive into your balance simply enjoy the moment... be present... be calm.

Practicing balances regularly brings peace to your mind and harmony into your life as you learn to pause amidst all the pressures; developing mindfulness.
